Save the date! HPC-MLA Annual Meeting on APRIL 29
We are pleased to announce the HPCMLA Annual Meeting for 2016. It will be held on Friday April 29 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at the UH JABSOM Health Sciences Library. The meeting will take place in the Quiet Reading Room.
Please arrive by 8:30 for some early morning refreshments which will be served in the Library’s Administration Workroom.
1. Please tell contact Mabel Trafford (mabel.a.trafford.civ @ mail.mil) if you will be participating (including dinner).
2. The Chapter will be having a brief session prior to the start of the business meeting in order to share any interesting updates, such as awards, publications, travel, new products being considered, etc. We would all love to hear about it. Please contact Mabel if you have anything in mind to share with the group.
3. Mabel is also putting together a dinner after the meeting and would appreciate any ideas on where dinner can be held. If you would like to join her, please let her know.

* Disaster Health Information Sources: The Basics worth 4.0 MLA CE credits. “This class provides a comprehensive overview of the essential resources needed to provide health-related information services for supporting disaster mitigation, planning, response, and recovery. This case-based workshop will cover key sources from the National Library of Medicine (NLM), federal and nonfederal agencies, and international organizations. Tools for locating, organizing and disseminating disaster health information will also be discussed. The final hour of the presentation will explore specific disaster and emergency topics relevant to Hawai’i, including creating a plan for personal preparedness.
